New President Invested

Peter Irving the retiring President welcomed everyone to his last meeting as President on 2nd July. Before the official handover of the presidential office he performed the pleasant task of investing Ken Kay as a  new member.
Peter made a short speech about his year in office saying that he had enjoyed the year and thanked all the members for their support.
He also spoke about the achievements of the club in the last year giving full credit to the members for their hard work and willingness to put the necessary effort into ensuring the success of the club's many and worthwhile projects.
He then invested John Dale as President for the coming year.
John made a short speech saying that he is looking forward to his year in office and felt confident that he can rely on the members to give him their full backing.
John's first task in his new office was to invest Richard Parsons as President Elect.
On an occasion such as this there are a few procedural formalities but lots of fellowship was enjoyed by members and their partners, Friends of Rotary and several visiting Rotarians from Lancaster, Lancaster Loyne and Carnforth Rotary Clubs.
