Rotary Club visits Seatruck based at Port of Heysham

The Rotary Clubs of Lunesdale and Carnforth visit Seatruck.

On Monday 19th September some members from both Rotary clubs enjoyed a guided tour of Seatruck based at the Port of Heysham. Alastair Eagles CEO, gave a comprehensive presentation about the company which was established in 1996. It began with just one vessel to fill a gap in the market for a freight operation serving Ireland. It now has 12 vessels operating from the Port of Heysham and Liverpool to Dublin and Warrenport. It benefits from the huge backing of its parent group Clipper. Seatruck however remains close to its customers and focuses on the needs of the transport industry in the shipment of unaccompanied trailers. It has over 50 departures per week and moves in excess of 275,000 units per year.
